We were engaged to design a seamless, stress-free digital experience for travelers while capturing Melbourne’s unique culture and identity. The challenge was to balance the diverse needs of passengers, stakeholders, airlines, and the broader airport community – all while delivering an intuitive, mobile-first platform.
The new website was designed to be more ‘Melbourne’ than ‘Airport,’ embracing the city’s sophistication, creativity, and contemporary vibe. A stylish, modern interface includes dark and light modes for visual comfort, a full-screen concierge-like search function, and live flight cards that mimic physical tickets. Travelers can pin their flights to the menu or receive real-time updates via social media and browser alerts. The parking experience was also streamlined with an easy-to-use comparison tool and booking widget, while immersive shopping and dining directories help passengers navigate the airport’s offerings effortlessly.
